Trilingual: brought up in Latin America where she attended schools in English and Spanish she graduated from The American School of Lima (Peru), with Honors.
She achieved her interpretation and translation diplomas at Scuola Superiore Interpreti e Traduttori( Rome, Italy) and her university degree 110/110 cum laude in English Language and Literature at La Sapienza University (Rome, Italy).
She began, her interpretation /translation career in Rome working mainly for Italian government institutions, and has been appointed as personal interpreter for Italian and foreign dignitaries (Presidents of the Republic from President S. Pertini to S. Mattarella, Italian Ministers, MPs and PMs) in more than 80 state visits (US:.President Bush, Obama; UK: Queen Elizabeth II; Spain: King Juan Carlos, etc) Interpreter for most Italian and international institutions such as CNR, RAI, Enciclopedia Treccani, ESA, NATO,FAO, IFAD, WFP, NEREUS,etc. * (please ask for a detailed list).
"Professore aggregato/RUC" at the University of Salento (Lecce, Italy), she has taught translation/interpretation at Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori in Rome, Università di Lecce (now University of Salento), Libera Università San Pio V in Rome and, ESP at Libera Università Mediterranea Jean Monnet (Bari, Italy).
She has delivered 40+ presentations at several conferences in Italy and abroad on Interpreting Studies among which, four Critical Link Conferences, public service interpreting in Interpreting America (Washington DC), Critical Link International (Toronto, Canada), UAH, (Alcalà,Spain) and University of Graz, (Austria).
