Inclusive International Mobility: Our Strategy

In full alignment with the principles of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and the directives of the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) [2021/817], our Institution promotes internationalization as a right accessible to all, actively dismantling economic, social, physical, and cultural barriers.
Our strategy is built upon equity and hospitality, ensuring that study and traineeship experiences abroad represent a tangible opportunity for our entire student body and academic staff.

Core Actions
To guarantee maximum participation, the Institution has established a comprehensive support ecosystem based on some main pillars:
  • Dedicated guidance for students with disabilities or Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs);
  • Promotion of innovative mobility paths such as Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) and short-term mobilities, ideal for working students, caregivers, or those with personal constraints;
  • Free pre-departure language preparation courses and dedicated cultural integration support for the destination Country.

Qualitative Objectives (Targets 2026-2028)

Our qualitative milestones aim to foster an inclusive internationalization culture both on and off-campus:
  • Full Academic Recognition: Ensuring the automatic and transparent recognition of all European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits earned abroad, as agreed in the Learning Agreement, eliminating any risk of delaying graduation.
  • Dedicated Inclusion & Mobility Helpdesk: Establishing a specialized tutoring role within the International Relations Office to provide personalized counseling and guidance for vulnerable profiles.
  • Enhanced Inbound Welcome Services: Upgrading hospitality infrastructure for incoming international students, focusing on accessible housing procurement and seamless campus integration.
  • Inclusive Staff Mobility: Incentivizing training periods abroad for academic and administrative staff focused on inclusive teaching methodologies and digital accessibility tools.
