Prof. Carlo Alberto Anzuini, former lecturer in Arabic Language and Translation at the University of Bari Aldo Moro and currently a faculty member at Bona Sforza, will present an overview of the current situation in Iran, starting from the historical roots of the issue and framing it within the broader context of Middle Eastern geopolitics, leading up to possible future developments.
The talk will analyze Iran’s current situation by tracing its historical foundations, from the 1979 Revolution to the structure of the Islamic Republic, and by examining the country’s internal political, social, and economic conditions.
It will then place Iran within the landscape of Middle Eastern geopolitics, addressing regional rivalries, the nuclear program, and relations with major global powers. The presentation will conclude by outlining possible future scenarios, considering internal reforms, regional tensions, and the evolution of international power balances.
We sincerely thank Prof. Anzuini for this valuable contribution and look forward to welcoming you.
